Route & Itinerary

Below is an outline of the route plan and itinerary for the pilgrimage. We will be going from St Columba's Cathedral to St. Columba's Abbey - taking the relics in procession as we go. Along the way, we will be stopping to pray at various Holy sites on the Isle of Mull.

0830      Procession to Oban Port

0915      Pilgrim's Ferry to Mull

1015      Pilgrimage Departs

1230      Lunch

1800      Arrive Pennyghael

1900      Dinner

Day 2

1 August 2026

Pennyghael to Fidden

0600     Rise

0700     Depart

1230     Lunch

1700     Holy Mass at Fidden Beach

1830     Dinner

2000     Beach Fire (weather permitting)

Fidden to Iona Abbey

0800     Rise

0900     Depart

1100     Holy Mass at Iona Abbey

1330     Conclusion of the Pilgrimage

1900     Ceilidh

Day 4

3 August 2026

Iona: Pilgrim's Rest

Pilgrims are free to remain on the island if they wish for longer, but for most of us, this will be our journey home.

0900 Holy Mass at Cnoc Chalmain

Followed by the ferry to Fionnphort and then a bus departure from Ferry Port (Exact times TBC)
